Jim Cook
Jim and his wife, Mary Jo have lived in Leesburg for 46 years. They have 3 children and 8 grandchildren. Jim dedicated most of his life to the future of the children of Leesburg. He was a teacher, principal, athletic director and coach for over 31 years.
He also served as a Leesburg Village Council member for 5 years.
ABOUT LEESBURG...
In 1802, the Village of Leesburg was founded and incorporated by Nathaniel Pope, John Walters and John Howard. The first Quakers, or Friends as we now know them, held meetings in late 1802. In the early years, Leesburg was known for its flouring and woolen mills.
Situated in the rolling hills of south-central Ohio, Leesburg is located just north of the Highland County seat of Hillsboro. Leesburg's quaint village boasts several shopping opportunities, as well as all the necessities. Surrounded by rich farm land, residents of the Leesburg area benefit from agriculture and livestock production.
In 1975, Leesburg celebrated its bicentennial. Local residents compiled the
